Swedish Distance Sellers (Svensk Distanshandel, SDh)
SDh was established in 1973 and we organize the leading distance selling companies, but also smaller e-business companies in Sweden. Most of the companies are B to C.
At the moment SDh have more than 270companies as members, in three different categories. Members, Test Members(1 year) and Associated Members.
Internet is the dominant selling channel. The Swedish distance selling companies are also the dominating actors on the Scandinavian market. The top 10 list of Scandinavia include 8 Swedish and 2 Finnish companies.
Organization
Mr Bo Lindell is the Managing Director. The board of SDh include 10 persons with Mr Gunnar Ryman as chairman.
A special group, the Ethic Committee, which is chaired by a lawyer, looks after that all members follow the Code of Ethics.
There are up to 20 different working groups available, containing various professionals from the member companies.

Information and events
Most information is available only in Swedish.
Once a year, in the end of November, we organize the biggest event for distance selling in Sweden. It is a full-day seminar and a fair with our Business Partner, called "The Day of Distance selling". At the last one, the 19th of November 2009, we had 722 visitors. We also have an event in the springtime, exclusively for the members and for the Business Partners.
The Distance Selling Day 2010, will be the 18th of November.
International
SDh is an active member of EMOTA (European E-commerce and Mail Order Trade Association) located in Brussels, Belgium, with Mrs Susanne Czech as General Secretary. 22 European countries are members of EMOTA. On the EMOTA Board the seat for Scandinavia is held by Mr Gunnar Ryman from SDh. Information and statistics from EMOTA is available on the website www.emota.eu.
